Frequently Asked Questions
The things you might be wondering before reaching out.
-
You don't need to have a diagnosis or even know exactly what's wrong to come to therapy. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and neurodivergence, shame and self-criticism, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the general overwhelm that can come with being human.
Sometimes you might just know that something feels off, you're tired of feeling the way you've been feeling, or you're ready to understand yourself a little better. That's enough of a place to start.

I provide individual therapy for teens and adults ages 16 and older who are located in Illinois.
I especially enjoy working with people navigating anxiety, self-doubt, neurodivergence, relationships, identity, life transitions, shame, guilt, and the pressure to have everything figured out.
-
At this time, my practice is fully virtual. Sessions are offered through the Headway platform, which means you can attend therapy from wherever you feel comfortable, as long as you're physically located in Illinois at the time of your session.
-
Yes. I accept select insurance plans through Headway. Your specific coverage and out-of-pocket cost will depend on your insurance plan.
Before beginning therapy, you can verify your benefits so you have a clearer idea of what your sessions may cost.
-
The cost of therapy depends on whether you're using insurance or choosing to pay privately.
If you're using insurance, your cost will depend on your individual plan, deductible, copay, or coinsurance. Private-pay rates and payment options can also be discussed before scheduling so there aren't any surprises.
-
Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions, depending on their needs, goals, availability, and finances.
There isn't a one-size-fits-all schedule. We'll talk about what makes the most sense for you and can adjust along the way.
-
A consultation is a brief, no-pressure conversation where we can get a feel for whether we might be a good fit.
You'll have a chance to tell me a little about what you're looking for, ask questions, and learn more about how I work. I'll also make sure that what you're looking for falls within my scope of practice.
If it feels like a good fit, we can talk about next steps. If not, that's okay too. The whole point is to help you make an informed decision about your care.
